Manipulation of the results of Google

Due to its important market position Google is principal purpose of search machine Spamming. One tries to obtain good positions with as much as possible search words. These search words have to do often nothing with actual contents of the side. Techniques are used such as Doorway sides, link farms or PAGE Cloaking.

For the first time to the larger extent the possibility of the search machine manipulation was publicly noticed in connection with a Google bomb, which referred to American president George W. Bush. The search word "„miserable+failure miserable failure "“miserable failure (too German: "„pitiful failure "“or "„deplorable failure "“) was linked by Bush opponents with its official Biografie. In response Bush supporters tried the same with Michael of moorlands. Since that time the places change occasionally.

Manipulations, which have for the purpose to improve the Ranking of Websites particularly with Google are called also Google Spamming. One calls attempts, stranger Internet sides from the Google results out cones, Google Bowling.

Google amends its algorithms for the determination of the Rankings regularly, in order to make abuse more difficult. The Spammer always pulls tight and adapts its sides accordingly.

Exclusion of search results because of unfair search machine optimization

In January 2006 it became admits that Google wants to proceed more strongly against dubious methods during the optimization of international web pages.
